Tetra Tech Europe seek an experienced arboriculturist, able to work alongside our technical directors to deliver projects, mentor others, provide technical review and consultancy, interact with wider disciplines for a shared aim, manage budgets and liaise with clients. You will be a talented practitioner looking to contribute to the growth of our field survey team, maximise quality data capture, deliver accurate digital plans and compile technical reports on BS5837:2012, professional tree inspection, veteran tree survey, woodland assessment and management plans. We will consider applications from all our UK regions and our projects are active across the UK so you will have access to grow the team further to provide efficient service for our established and new clients. Our team aims to deliver: BS 5837:2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction surveys and outputs Veteran/ Ancient Tree Assessments and reporting Professional tree inspection, tree safety/risk assessment and tree works specifications Arbor-ecology input as part of habitat management strategies Woodland assessment and woodland habitat management Development of how arboriculture aligns with Biodiversity Net Gain Contribution to Tetra Techs qualified tree climbing team Preparation of a variety of technical outputs including tree survey schedules and tree constraints and opportunities plans, arboricultural impact assessments and method statements Liaison with local authorities to identify legal protection of trees on development sites such as TPOs and conservation areas Onsite supervision of works which require consideration of trees and woodlands Providing arboricultural advice to clients and attending client meetings Preparing fee proposals and competitive tenders Undertaking quality assurance of reports and plans Supporting our natural capital team in relation to arboriculture Qualifications and experience A qualification in arboriculture to a level commensurate with the grade applicable (i.e. Senior: Level 4 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Membership of a professional institute (i.e. Arboriculture Association) Experience of BS 5837 survey and reporting, including the use of surveying equipment and digital mapping Strong identification skills including pests, disease and fungi and biomechanical features Experience of line management, mentoring, positive team working, and client liaison Experience of quality assurance and producing high quality outputs Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel on occasion An enthusiasm for sharing knowledge, recruitment and training, and developing staff If you would like to hear more about this role, we are very happy to discuss your ambitions and what we can provide towards the next step in your career.
